Partition Walls

I have recently moved and i decided to take the living room and make my bedroom now i need to block the whole thing i thought of putting curtains but decided to put a wall so not to hear noises from other rooms what are my best options reach me at bobmarleyy23@hotmail.com

Hi Thanks for your question.

There are many ways to create the division between bed and living rooms.

You can either block the wall. To use blockwork you will have to build on an existing structural wall. Check this by seeing what is below the existing wall you intend to build on. If its solid you can build a wall from blockwork.

If the there are no supporting structural walls you could create the division by using a timber frame stud wall. Stud walls are built from lightweight timber and can be built without using any masonry. They still provide the characteristics of a normal wall and can be insulated and made to look like an integral part of the building.
