Nowadays, most new homes have large quantities of exterior wall insulation.
It is your first defense against the elements—primarily against the heat of the sun and the coldness of rain and snow.

However, a lot of people do not realize the importance of having an interior wall insulation.
Save your bills
Wall insulation is important since it can help keep the transfer of temperature from one room to the other.
Simply put, it can keep the cold air from the AC in one room or the heat coming from the heater.
This can really save you a lot when it comes to your electric bills since the warmth or coldness in one area will not be dispersed to other rooms which will make the AC or heater work less.
This way, you can also avoid getting areas with uneven temperatures in your homes since heat flow will not travel between rooms; thus, you can keep one room cool or warm and not let the temperature escape the house.
This works well especially for rooms that are adjacent to areas that are open such as garages. An example of this would be minimizing heat loss during the winter between your bedroom and the adjacent garage.
Since the garage is not heated, the heat tends to flow to the garage via the walls making your bedroom less warm and makes the heater work double time.
By getting insulation, you are preventing this type of heat loss which will save you heat and electric consumption.
Noise reduction
Another good advantage of interior wall insulation is the noise reduction.
There are a lot of materials used in making your homes and all of these effectively let sounds pass. Meaning, the noise from the TV from the living room can easily be heard in the adjacent bedroom and vice-versa.
By having a wall insulation, you are minimizing the noise transfer thus you can enjoy watching TV late at night without worrying about waking up the people in the other rooms.
Fiberglass batts in between wood panels work perfectly for this purpose; just by closing the door of the room and you will notice that the usual sounds coming from the hallway can no longer be heard.
Also, using mineral wool works roughly the same as pink insulation—the ones that they use in studios to stop sounds. Not only that, but it also works well as a fire stopping agent and has been used for many years already.
You have three options when getting an interior wall insulation:
By getting an interior wall insulation, you are getting a lot of benefits. So before getting a house done or getting your house remodeled, it is a good idea to decide on what type of insulation you would would like in order to achieve the performance levels you require.
