How To Draw Extension Plans

Here is some information on how you can develop your own house extension plans.

These drawings can be used as part of a planning application or to discuss with architects.

Step One - Drawing Out The Survey Plan

First of all you will have to survey all of the existing building. Once you have done this you will be able to draw out a plan of the existing building.

Once you have taken all of the measurements you will then be able to draw out a plan. To ensure it is drawn accurately use a scale ruler when plotting the measurements.

Step 2 - Drawing The Existing And Proposed Plans

Now that you have all the measurements it's time to begin drawing out the existing floor plan.

Once you have a completed existing plan begin to start developing a proposed scheme. Use overlays to show the alterations you would like to make to the building.
